Sep 20, Sara rated it it was amazing Shelves: I seriously think this may be the most romantic book I have read.

Now I do not mean that in the traditional sense; let me explain.

To me romance is not just the hot guy who fgee in and sweeps your off your feet. True Romance, true love to me is finding that one person that gets you. The person you do not have to hide anything from.

That ONE person whom is your lover; best friend, your confidant, teacher, support, your greatest strength and also your biggest weakness. That one person who knows you better than you can sometimes know yourself. That is what romance is to me and after reading this I can honestly say the relationship between David and Katlyn is romantic.

His father being a controlling and abusive man has taught David how women should be treated. They are not high on the consideration scale for him and they are to be used, whether they are his wife or someone random he found on the street.

David is so brainwashed and afraid of disappointing his father that he succumbs to his generatjonal and desires. That is until the day David sits down in his biology lab and a beautiful brunette sits down next to him as his partner.

From the moment David meets Kat, he knows the nagging questions about his behavior and what is right or wrong will be tested. She was giving me an outlet. It was everything I had ever wanted, and it scared the fuck out of me. Blair handled the sexual relationship between Sijs and Kat. David is so conflicted about what he likes in the bedroom and to have someone as strong as Kat tell him from the beginning that his tastes are not wrong and that she would genertaional him see that was beautiful.

Wins is rare that we get a strong female in a book that can take the lead the way Kat does. I really think Kat played against what many see as the stereotypical Submissive woman; she may like to submit to her partner sexually but that does not mean she is not a smart, strong, confident independent woman at the same time.

I blwir her with all my being, but we both behaved differently depending on the setting. We drew hard lines between playtime and real life.

Those lines kept us safe. While this has the story of David and Kat there is the serious subject of abuse. What he does to his family and others is unforgivable to me. Fucking take it like a man.

Having said that, I am again in awe of how the author deals with it. There is no fade to black scene with a HEA. There is no generxtional over the true emotions that come from dealing with something that can damage the soul, the psyche and destroy a relationship.

Generational Sins 1 Samantha Blair –

I gained much more knowledge and understanding of why a person would willingly go into a submissive relationship and actually gain pleasure from it. While Kat loved David dearly and truly her willingness to submit was not just for his pleasure but for her own.

It went beyond what he or she wanted but down to her core of what she needed. Everything that I had been stressing about faded into the background, and I focused solely on the physical feelings that he was giving me. I understand it is not for everyone and I recommend people that are looking to read it examine the warning that is attached to it and be self aware.

Generational Sins

Regardless of the auto generated “If you like blah blah blah, you will like this,” use your best judgement before you dive in and use this as your next read after a certain trilogy.

Sinns had to breathe between each scene, each page generationl each emotion that overwhelmed me. This is not a book that I will forget long after reading it. I am grateful to my girls who recommended it to me.

Oct 16, Louise rated it really liked it Shelves: She was my darkest secret and my greatest light If I say This is a beautiful story of love and holding to each other amidst the trauma of an abusive life many readers will raise their eyebrows.

This is not for the faint of heart I hate David’s father. How detrimental will that affect a young David? David became afraid of his father, follows everything his father wants and did to the women he bedded. Honestly,I’m still confused if David could handle being a Dom.

I’m very grateful that I live with a loving a caring family and to witness such abusive situation in a family was heart-wrenchingly painful. How ridiculous that I should need comforting. I was supposed to be the strong one, the dominant one. She had always been stronger than me. Kat is a strong character to play a part of a sub. He’s one caring and loving husband. David became my rock, my foundation. Without his discipline, I would never have made it through.

He was my everything. Sometimes I want to snap him and want him to act as a dominant but no! David can’t leave his family especially his mother.

She is innocent in this, and I cannot leave her. The light in my dark. I love how they became bestfriend first then started a relationship. The Author didn’t put much detail. And their love on the situation one me over. View all 18 comments.

Nov 18, Taryn rated it really liked it Shelves: Maybe because I haven’t read too many bdsm novels before or because I’ve only read the “good” side of bdsm. Well, this was the “good” and the “bad” side of bdsm and I was captivated by it. I’m not sure why either. At first, I thought the heroine Kat was a very damaged woman.

I didn’t understand at all why she wanted love the way she did. The more I read the more I understood her and what she wanted I personally am not one for bdsm, but it is interesting to read. I think this book made it ok for me The spankings and submission is truly what Kat needed.
